Favorite Ice Cream

My favorite ice cream is Strawberry Häagen-Dazs.

Creamy Fruitiness

They have a tiny serving size, which is about 4 ounces – something about the tiny container makes it even better. I eat it very slowly and savor the creamy fruitiness.

There is something about strawberry Häagen-Dazs that reminds me of gentle summer evenings and friends.

I also love the fact that the name Häagen-Dazs, which sounds Dutch, was made up by the two Polish immigrants who started the company.

Häagen-Dazs was sold as a specialty food in New York for decades, from the 1930s to 1976, when the first Häagen-Dazs shop was opened.

In 1983, the company was sold to the Pillsbury Company, "which remained commited to the tradition of superior quality and innovation on which Häagen-Dazs was founded."1
